Deed to Chain

Founder + Editorial Voice

Built inside the market it covers.

Deed to Chain reports from Miami rather than observing it from a distance.

Sergio de Varona has worked in South Florida real estate since 2001, giving him approximately 25 years of market perspective as of 2026 — through multiple cycles and Miami's evolution into a global center for property, finance, technology and culture.

Deed to Chain was created to interpret the convergence of property, capital, ownership and digital infrastructure. Real estate, capital, policy and technology are increasingly inseparable, and the publication covers them as a single, changing system rather than as separate beats.

The publication is not only about real estate transactions. It is about the entire system surrounding property and ownership — how it is financed, recorded, settled and rebuilt as new rails and new capital arrive.

The Freedom Tower is part of Sergio's family history and Deed to Chain's Miami identity. Sergio's father passed through Miami's Freedom Tower in 1961.
